Nothing but Silence

as the wind clears up

no one speaks the pitter

patter of the rain stops

there’s nothing but silence

an umbrella falls everyone

looks but doesn’t say a word

nothing but silence.

Someone speaks he says “speak

don’t be afraid” but no one

does nothing but silence.

  1. Hi Sonia, thank you so much for posting this poem on Nothing but Silence for us to read. I like your drawing too. The upside down umbrella blowing in the wind makes me feel quite cold. This is such a nice post.
